Good morning, happy people. I say we all ditch work, toss forethought out the window and bounce. To Istanbul. Just for the day, International Jazz Day (April 30th).
It’s year two for this UNESCO endorsed celebration which not only includes live concerts, but lectures on ‘The History of Jazz’ and panel discussions whose topics range from ‘Jazz and Women’ to ‘Jazz and Freedom’. We’ll kick back, listen to Herbie Hancock, Ramsey Lewis, and fine ass Pedrito Martinez . . . Ha!
Just in case you missed your flight, International Jazz Day is scheduled to go viral. Peep the teaser. – Starr*, Happy Black Girl
